Momchil Nikolov has been playing chess since he was 3 years old. For him, the game turned from a favorite hobby into a profession, becoming champion and runner-up in almost all age groups of 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 years in the country. Emerging from his teenage years, the young genius continued to progress in chess and reached the title of International Master in 2007. Some of his most significant achievements are the championship of Bulgaria in classical chess in 2016 and the silver medal in the European club team championship in board four in 2010.
