Bulgarian wines tasting from Makaroon.bg

Wine tasting is a science, even an art. Experts say that in order to taste wine, one must completely relax the senses. This is the best way to evaluate its taste and aroma.

The tasting goes through three main stages: determining the appearance (color, luster, purity), aroma and taste of the wine.

The first stage is color.

Most people don't think it's important, but it's because it will tell you a lot about wine.
The best way to judge the color is to look at the cup from above and tilt it towards a white background. As you tilt, you'll see the color from the center and blend to the edges.

The second stage is the aroma.

The nose is the most important thing when tasting wine, because it can catch many more things in the wine than your mouth.
You can simply turn the glass to aerate the wine and the oxygen will remove the aromas and flavors from it.
Then smell the wine in the glass. You just smell it.

The third stage is taste.

Now you try the wine. The palate can capture sweetness at the top, sour taste on the sides and tannins at the back.

The last stage is the residual taste.

This is the impression you have after swallowing or spitting out the wine.
And for wine to be good, this taste must be harmonious.

We offer you to experience an unforgettable experience - tasting for two Bulgarian wines with Asen Tsekov - creator and manager of Vino Orenda - the first store specializing only in Bulgarian wines from small independent producers, and founder and co-organizer of Sofia Quarter Tour de Zarezan, member of the Bulgarian Association of Wine Professionals.
