Therapy for the soul

Art therapy is a form of therapy that uses pleasurable creative processes such as drawing, painting, modeling, collage, and any other art form to help people express and process their emotions.

Art has been a medium through which man has been able to express all his emotions, torments and dreams since time immemorial. Nowadays it is used in many therapeutic, relaxing and educational processes. In this enjoyable workshop, every mother will be able to provide support, share experiences and make connections with other mothers.

By creating different projects and art, these wonderful women will be able to express every feeling they experience during motherhood, deal with stress in a beautiful way and create freely.

How will the therapy go?

The therapy will go through three interesting and different sessions. The first session will be based on getting to know the creative materials, the group and the setting, as well as getting into the creative process itself. In the second session, experimental drawing will be attempted. This interesting technique will provide an opportunity to explore and express emotions, thoughts and experiences through art. The final third session will focus on the Tak-Sen technique - a set of 16 sculptures that activate the clients' tactile-sensory experience in order to connect in deep layers of your personality.

• The first session of the therapy will be educational, in which you will get to know the materials and the creative process itself
• The service is appropriate only for mothers
• The therapy takes place in the building of the Bulgarian Association of Art Therapy
• The sessions will be conducted by Milena Ivanova, who is studying to become an Art Therapist at BAAT
• The minimum number of people to conduct the therapy is 4 and the maximum is 10
  
• Each of the three sessions will have a different theme
• Session 1 is educational, suitable for beginners; Session 2 is experimental drawing; Session 3 has a Tak-Sen theme and focus
• The duration of one session is 90 minutes
• Meetings are held every Wednesday from 14:00 to 16:00
