We are sure that you remember with a smile the hours spent in front of the TV with your favorite wrestling heroes. Now you have the opportunity to experience this sport up close - with the Bulgarian Wrestling Academy, which is the first wrestling school of its kind in Bulgaria.

Welcome to the ring!

Our trainings are held in Sofia and aim to provide wrestling enthusiasts with the opportunity to take their first steps in a wrestling ring, as well as to improve their skills and prepare for matches in front of an audience.

All trainings are held in a professional wrestling ring, under the guidance of experienced instructors from Europe and the UK. The goal of the Bulgarian Wrestling Academy is to provide students with full preparation for live audiences and participation abroad, as well as to initiate the formation of a local wrestling scene.

Our goal is to offer you a unique experience, a varied workout, a way to improve your physique, achieve your goals and have fun. To this end, we will provide you with:

Professional Training: Our trainers are seasoned professionals with years of experience in the industry. They will teach you all aspects of wrestling - from basic techniques to complex moves and psychological approaches. Training is conducted in a specialized wrestling ring by an experienced instructor.

Safety and Technique: Safety is our priority. We will teach you how to perform all moves safely and effectively to minimize the risk of injury.

Physical Training: Specialized strength, endurance and flexibility exercises that will develop your physical abilities and prepare you for real performances in the ring.

Psychological Training: We will work on your confidence, public speaking, non-verbal communication with the audience and the way you present yourself to fans, colleagues and promoters.

Who are our trainers?

Your quality training will be taken care of by:

Damyan Tangra - founder of the Bulgarian Wrestling Academy, who managed to touch the American wrestling scene. He has an unpredictable style and technique and puts passion into what he does.

Red Scorpion - one of the best European trainers with 20 years of experience behind him. He combines wrestling traditions from all over the world, which makes him one of the most adaptable wrestlers, ready to pass on his knowledge to new enthusiasts.

Michael Kovacs - a veteran in wrestling, multiple champion in several countries and an experienced trainer of wrestlers from all over the continent, including WWE star Gunther.

James Mason - with 30 years of experience and a victory over MVP in an episode of "Breaking", he will show you how to manage the pace, clear unnecessary movements and apply efficient techniques in the ring.

Train with us

Wrestling is an intense sport that requires physical abilities, discipline and trust. The health of all participants is the first priority of both the instructor and the trainees. All participants are required to protect each other and strictly follow the instructions of the instructors, as well as to inform them of any pain, discomfort or injury. According to these circumstances, the instructor may advise or require the trainee to take a break or adapt the exercises according to his condition.

Warming up and stretching are a mandatory part of the training. Even in case of delay, participation in the training without a warm-up in a form coordinated with the instructor is not allowed. After that, new students move on to mastering the safe falls, balls and steps on which all performances in the ring are based.

• One-time wrestling training for one person from the Bulgarian Wrestling Academy at the CSKA Boxing Club, Sofia
• Qualified instructor

Additional information:

• Trainings are held every Tuesday (19:30 - 22:30), Wednesday (20:00 - 23:00) and Thursday (19:30 - 22:30).
• The training capacity is 20-22 people.
• The trainer is different every week.
• Participants are required to wear clean sportswear, clean sports shoes, and a towel.
• Drinking water is not provided, so each participant must bring their own.
• Minimum age of participants - 16 years.
• For persons under 18 years of age, a declaration signed by a parent is required.
