In a picturesque, cozy house, painted in white and pink, are our main characters - the housewife Mirodinka Vasileva and her neighbors from the village of Gyueshevo - grandmother Nade and grandmother Stoyanka. Their skillful hands prepare each dish so that its taste remains in your mind for years. They will show you every step of the preparation of the feasts, making you feel at home. The stories that these young-at-heart ladies can tell are countless, and with them they will transport you to decades gone by.
Mirodinka's house is beautified by rose bushes growing along the fence and giving an irreplaceable feeling of charm and homely comfort, which can only be found in a village. All this idyll creates an irreplaceable feeling.
The feasts – poparnik and starch.
The steamer is made from cornbread broken into large chunks. It contains corn flour, sugar, milk, eggs, yeast, cow butter, and boiled pumpkin can be added if desired and seasonal. The bread is broken with the hands in a pan and the slices are poured abundantly with fried butter and oil. Cheese and sprinkles are sprinkled on top. In the winter it is consumed with cabbage soup, and in the warm season with yogurt or buttermilk.
The recipe for starch that you will prepare in Garliano is in the form of a thin cream made from corn flour, fresh milk, water, salt and sugar. A generous amount of fried butter, sugar and cheese is poured over it.
The experience ends with a tasting treat, and if you wish, you can dress up in folk costumes and have your picture taken with them.
